Do you remember the childhood magic of blowing dandelion puffs and making a wish? I suspect my mother would secretly cringe at the thought of more dandelions springing up in our yard. It was pure bliss for me, however; a few moments full of peace and wonder as the seeds drifted away on the wind and the sunshine warmed my skin. I was delighted to be able to recapture that feeling in this artwork, part of my collaboration with wildflower photographer Steven Schwartzman. You can see his original photo which inspired this artwork below:

Both the original photograph and my artistic interpretation are available as fine art prints by clicking on the images above. Or as a custom phone cover, too, if you are like my good friend who snapped one up as a Christmas present the moment I posted it to Facebook yesterday!
Speaking of which, I've finally joined the rest of the civilized world and now own a smart phone for the very first time. It arrived yesterday (yay!) and I'm still learning how to use it. I can't wait to personalize it with a custom phone case and artwork that reflects my personality. Now I just have to decide which artwork to choose. Wish me luck! 🙂
